In Karlsruhe strawberry varieties will be protagonist for their taste and aspect, as Joly*, particularly suitable for continental environments. Thanks to its bright red color, the very sweet taste, the excellent aroma and the absolutely top eating qualities, Joly* represents a variety Salvi Vivai strongly supports and recommends. Thanks to its ripening period and to the excellent characteristics Joly* enables to spread the harvesting period giving farmers a complementary variety to Clery, both in terms of yield as well as commercial results. Capri*, Ischia*, Linosa* and the new Zafir* will be exposed, everbearer varieties obtained by the breeding programs of C.I.V. (Centro Innovazione Varietale®) with which Salvi Vivai holds an intense and successful cooperation since long time. Capri* is characterized by the considerably long harvesting period as well as the high yield, being strongly adaptable and flexible. Fruit has a conical shape, very regular and uniform, the color is bright red with a firm flesh beside very good aroma and sweetness. Ischia* stands out as one of the best everbearer varieties in terms of quality and productivity. Characterized by a medium-early, very long and regular blossoming period, it produces a big and homogeneous berry, showing very regular conical shape and firm flesh with uniform red color. Linosa* comes out not only for the high yield but also for its own fruits, very regular and attractive, with a resistant skin, light red in color and very bright. Flesh color is homogeneous red, very firm with a good and sweet flavour.
Beside the above mentioned continental and everbearer varieties, Salvi Vivai will also present varieties suitable for Mediterranean climates such as Rania* and Nabila*, characterized by a very high productivity.
